CORRECTED LINK: Generation of Funds Survey
 Dear NYC Principals and Administrators,

On September 15th, the Generation of Funds survey opened on NPSIS. This survey serves to indicate which students are eligible to receive free or reduced-price meals. It is also an opportunity for schools to potentially generate federal Title I funds for students in need of various supplemental services for the 2022-23 school year. The deadline to submit responses is Friday, December 31st. School administrators should review entries in the NPSIS roster and make any necessary updates for the students entered.

Please note, students entered from the prior school year survey automatically rollover to the current year’s survey. Therefore, NPSIS will reflect check marks next to those student's name. Additionally:

  • If the student still qualifies for free or reduced-price meals, no changes are required.
  • If the student no longer qualifies for free or reduced-price meals, please deselect the check mark in the survey.

For further information regarding the Federal Income Guidelines, click here. In our last memo, we mistakenly shared Federal Income Guidelines from a different year. The guidelines linked here is the correct document.

Lastly, all nonpublic school administrators are encouraged to actively upload their student rosters in NPSIS as doing so could potentially result in other grant opportunities administered using NPSIS data. You should also confirm your primary and secondary contact information in NPSIS.

Please reach out to your Field support specialist if you need assistance.
