Hello Fourth Grade Parents!

There is a lot going on between now and the end of the school year, so please read everything carefully! A few quick reminders:

• Snack Shack is Friday, April 10th. Students from Barnes, Korn, and French BOYS will help out. Please wear your 4th Grade T Shirt! $5 for candy and a drink. Skyward and cash accepted.
• Students will tour MIS on Monday, May 11. The school will take them and bring them back during school hours.
• Parents will meet Thursday, April 30th to learn about the transition to MIS.  MIS will host meetings at 9:30 am and 6 pm.
• Mom’s Social on Thursday, April 30th!

Our last Snack Shack is FRIDAY, APRIL 10.

Students from Barnes, Korn, and French BOYS will help on this date. Please wear your 4th Grade T shirt!

Students and parent volunteers will report to the Sport Court at 2:30PM to get their assignment and learn how they will help. We should wrap up about 3:45 PM. Proceeds will be used to purchase a class gift for Bradfield. 

Parents of 4th graders transitioning to 5th grade for the 2026-27 school year are invited to MIS for upcoming information sessions. There will be 2 sessions on Thursday April 30 - 9:30 am or 6 pm.

MIS is still in need of cafeteria volunteers! Please consider picking up a shift if you haven’t already!

Moms, let’s kick off the graduation season and raise a glass to our Fourth Grade Grads! Please RSVP by Friday, April 24th.

Congratulations, Class of 2034, on your exciting move to MIS this fall! And you are now the first  class ever to join as a SCOT!  

To celebrate this big transition to middle school, be sure to order your MIS Transition Tee and  show off your new school spirit! Design has been updated to reflect our mascot change, and  you are the first class to ever get an MIS SCOTS transition t-shirt!  

The MIS Transition Tee is a long-standing tradition for 4th graders heading into 5th grade.  Students often wear their shirts during the final weeks of elementary school as a fun and  meaningful way to celebrate this milestone and proudly represent their future at MIS, and now,  as a Scot as well!!

We will send more details in the coming weeks, but we wanted to give a general overview of the day!

• The Graduation Ceremony will begin at 9 am. Please dress nicely!
• The Clap Out to the Sports Court begins about 10 am
• We should wrap everything at Bradfield by 11 am
• The student only pool party is at DCC from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm

Unfortunately, the Town of Highland Park will not let us have a parade to DCC this year. Everyone can run home and change clothes after the ceremony and get dropped off at DCC at 11:30.



In years past, parents have enjoyed purchasing large cut outs of their child’s face to hold up during the clap out or to decorate cars. This is completely optional! Please note, it does require some lead time! If you are interested, we recommend ordering in early May. There are several options out there, but we know parents have used this site in the past: FatHeads
