LOS ANGELES (March 15, 2021) – Procter & Gamble Chief Communications Officer, Damon Jones, will serve as the 2021 Host Committee Chair for The LAGRANT Foundation (TLF)’s 23rd Anniversary Scholarship Program. MMC Founder & CEO Marina Maher will serve alongside him as co-chair.
“Developing a more diverse talent pipeline is an urgent, shared responsibility and we’re pleased to step up and do our part,” said Jones. “Working with The LAGRANT Foundation to inspire, enable and develop the next generation will help ensure the Communications industry is positioned with the creativity and perspective needed for our success, and the success of the organizations we serve.”
As Chief Communications Officer, Jones leads efforts to ensure that P&G – one of the world’s largest consumer goods companies – is also known as one of the most trusted brands globally. He leads an organization responsible for P&G’s image and reputation and its broad portfolio of brands. He also directs a variety of citizenship and advocacy efforts focused on driving equality for women, people of color and other under-represented groups. In 2020, Jones was ranked at the top of PRWeek’s Power List.
“As TLF celebrates its 23rd Anniversary, I am excited to welcome Damon as Chair,” said TLF Chairman & CEO Mr. Kim L. Hunter. “He has continuously brought value to the communications industry, and I have no doubt he will bring great value to this year’s scholarship program.”
In celebration of TLF’s 23rd Anniversary, scholarships totaling $150,000 will be awarded to 50 ethnic minority students from across the nation pursuing degrees and careers in advertising, marketing and public relations. In lieu of an in-person program, this year’s scholarship recipients will participate in a multi-day virtual program.
