Pentecost 2026

Pentecost is a sacred and joyful celebration of the Holy Spirit alive in the world and in the life of the Church. For the Sisters of Social Service, whose community is deeply rooted in devotion to the Holy Spirit, Pentecost is a profound reminder of their call to live the Gospel through service, justice, compassion, and community. Guided by the Spirit, the Sisters strive to respond to the needs of the times, accompany those on the margins, and work for peace and the common good with courage and hope.

Pentecost also reflects the spirit of community and shared mission that has sustained the Sisters for more than a century. It is a celebration of renewal, unity, and the many gifts each person brings in service to others. As we mark this special feast, we give thanks for the Spirit’s continued presence among us—strengthening hearts, inspiring action, and calling all people to deeper love, understanding, and faithful service in the world.
