Kettle Moraine School District Superintendent Dr. Patricia F. Deklotz gives her weekly update as we close out the fourth week of school. Her topics include:

Tryouts For Grades 3-8 Start Next Week
Tryouts begin October 1 for all boys who reside in or attend school in Kettle Moraine School District in grades 3-8.

The goal is to select two teams per grade level. Teams practice twice per week and participate in Sunday league games and weekend tournaments November through mid-March to the first two weeks in April depending upon the team.

Tryout dates are as follows:
 
Thursday October 1 (Middle Gym)
7-8:30pm 7th grade
 
Sunday October 4 (East Gym)
11am-12:30pm 3rd and 4th grades

1:30-3pm 5th grade

4-5:30pm 6th grade

Wednesday October 7 (Middle Gym)
7-8:30pm 8th grade

Welcome, Coach Patenaude
Coach Nick Patenaude brings a wealth of experience to Kettle Moraine High School’s wrestling program as the Lasers’ new head coach. Patenaude was a two-time state placer at Oconto High school, and a three-time national qualifier at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, where he achieved All-American status. His coaching resume includes a strong background both as an assistant and head coach. Coach Patenaude has previously supported the wrestling programs at Greendale, Menomonee Falls, Waukesha West and New Berlin. In all, he has coached 21 athletes to the state tournament.

Reimbursable Meals For Face-To-Face, Distance Learners and More
The Department of Public Instruction released news that USDA Reimbursable Meals will continue through the end of 2020 or until available funds run out. Kettle Moraine School District looks forward to participating in this program.
