Capturing KM: Visiting With KM Global's New Director

Capturing KM visits the KMHS Campus to speak with KM Global's new director Andi Kornowski, a KM alumna who has worked in various teaching and leadership positions within the district for 11 years!

WDOT To Begin Construction On Major Stretch Of HWY 18 Starting Aug. 15 

KMSD was informed this week road work will begin Monday on a 4-mile stretch of HWY 18 between HWY 83 and HWY 67. Only local access traffic will be allowed Aug. 15 through late October.

KM is working with Dousman Transport to determine what this means for bus schedules and will provide updates as soon as information becomes available.

KM seeks a culinary arts/FACS teacher at Kettle Moraine High School. A successful candidate for this position is interested in continuing to build a strong family and consumer education program in the District, leading to career pathways at the post-secondary level. Additionally, a candidate must be an excellent team teacher and possess a desire to teach in a content area that is moving towards competency-based learning. Experience teaching culinary arts classes is strongly preferred.

Girls entering grades 3-8 are encouraged to tryout for the KM Girls Basketball Club. Tryouts are for two mandatory dates. Pre-registration is required no later than August 8 at https://www.kmgbc.com.

• 8/22 - 6th grade (6:00 - 8:30 pm East Gym)
• 8/23 - 7th grade (6:00 - 8:30 pm East Gym)
• 8/24 - 3rd/4th grades (6:00-7:30 pm East Gym)
• 8/24 - 5th grade (7:30 - 9:00 pm East Gym)
• 8/25 - 8th grade (5:30 -7:00 pm KMMS
• 8/29 (7th grade - 6:30- 8:00 pm East Gym)

• 8/30 (3rd/4th grades - 5:00-6:30 pm Wales Elementary)

Boy entering grades 3-8 are encouraged to tryout for the KM Boys Basketball Club. The goal is to have two teams at each level from third through eighth grades. Practices will be twice per week starting in late October with league games in the Wisconsin Youth Basketball League beginning in November and going through early March. Teams will also have tournaments head coaches will schedule during the season. Registration to open at kmboysbasketball.com later in August.

• 9/8 - 5th/6th grades (6:45-8:30 pm HS middle gym)
• 9/14 - 7th/8th grades (6:15-8 pm HS east and middle gyms)  

Your student in 4K to grade five can be part of the traditions of Kettle Moraine High School and participate in the 2022 Football Cheerleading Clinic Sept. 10 at Kettle Moraine Middle School!

Participants will be taught cheers, jumps and a cheer dance routine all while having fun with the KMHS cheerleaders! Cost is just $45 and includes a t-shirt, hair bow and poms for performance at the varsity game Sept. 16!
