Hello Student Affairs Team,
First, thank you for your participation in our recent roundtable discussions and facilitated conversations. Your engagement and thoughtful feedback have played a key role in shaping the organizational structure we are preparing to share—one designed to better meet the evolving needs of our students.
To provide you with a comprehensive overview of the proposed structure, we invite you to join a virtual session on Friday, June 27, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. During this meeting, we will outline the structure supporting each of the Executive Deans and walk through how your feedback informed these recommendations.
This session is intended to prepare you ahead of our next Roundtable Discussions on June 30 and July 1. In those meetings, Executive Deans will engage with their respective teams to gather input on implementation and training or development needs related to the Student Affairs Realignment.
While we recognize the Chancellor has encouraged a pause on meetings during the week of June 30 to allow space for reflection and reset, we believe the importance of the Realignment Roundtables warrants moving forward as originally scheduled. Your voice is critical to ensuring that we implement this restructure in a way that is collaborative, compassionate, and ultimately in the best interest of our students—and of you.
At the June 30 and July 1 sessions, we will also share a high-level timeline and begin discussing Change Management strategies to support a smooth transition.
Please hold the time for the June 27 virtual session and stay tuned for the Zoom link.
I know this process has felt uncertain at times, and I want to express my deep appreciation for your continued commitment to ACC and to our students. I truly believe that through your collaboration and insight, we can build a structure that not only meets our current needs but aligns with the vision and recommendations coming from our ToC design and implementation teams.
Sincerely,
Shasta Buchanan, Ed.D.
