LeMoyne Arts is excited to host a special artist talk with watercolorist, Bobbie Buckingham, as she discusses her inspiration and techniques, from frisket to granulating paints to paper and pencil. 

Contra dancing is an upbeat, beginner-friendly American folk dance for all ages. Alice Raibourn will be joining all the way from Orlando to call the dances and the Greasy String Band will be playing live tunes.

This annual member show celebrates 25 years of providing access to the arts in this exhibition titled, "Memories."

The Council on Culture & Arts presents Her Golden Renaissance, an exhibition of paintings and poetry by Isabella Alsharif. Alsharif is an artist & poetess seeking to portray the essence of enlightened women everywhere. Her artwork embraces the diversity of women as creators of life and expresses this correlation of creation within divine nature. This event is part of the Art in Public Places program, sponsored by the City of Tallahassee. All artworks are for sale and each comes with a framed poem.

On June 8, local painter Tracy Foutz-Hunt's solo show "Repurposed" opens at COCA's City Hall Galleries. You can also register to attend the Reception & Artist Talk on July 6. This collection consists of old papers repurposed as a tribute to the draftsmen who drew the originals. Many of the objects they reproduced are obsolete now, as the drafting tables once employed are now replaced by laptops. The paints Tracy applies over these papers are mostly translucent, allowing for delicate lines and figures to peep through.
