Today marks the beginning of our second month of school. Students have now switched to winter uniforms, no more shorts, no more tennis shoes, unless it is a gym day. Feel free to wear uniform sweatpants over those gym shorts on cold days.
In today’s chronicle you will see a survey regarding in-person versus distance learning. At the end of the quarter, we are hoping to be able to offer the option to return to in-person instruction to those who have spent the first quarter learning from home. It would be helpful to know your thoughts now so that we can prepare by moving classrooms if necessary. The third question is intended for all families to answer regarding your comfort level with decreasing the distance between students in the classroom. Reducing the distance between students’ desks to three feet still falls within the CDC acceptable guidelines.
Parent-teacher conferences will be conducted differently this year. Some teachers are offering remote-only conferences, while others will offer both remote and in-person conferences. Please watch for information from your child’s teacher regarding scheduling.
It is a pleasure to greet your children as they enter each morning! Please remember to send them with a clean face mask. I hold an Easter basket with extras, just in case!
The dismissal for car riders continues to work well. Two reminders: please enter from Coventry, not Stillman, and please pull up further in the lot to buckle children into car seats. Parents, it would be helpful if you would notify any caregivers picking up your child of these reminders.
Let us continue to pray for each other and for peace in the world!
