Dear Parents,

               Tomorrow marks the end of our second week back to school in person. Happily, there are no new student Covid cases to report. Thank you to everyone for remaining vigilant at home and keeping students home if there is any hint of exposure or symptoms! These days more than ever, it is important to get the students outside for recess and fresh air whenever possible. Please be sure your child has more than a sweatshirt when s/he comes to school. I know your car is nice and warm, but it is cold at recess!

              This week our fleet of one hundred chrome books arrived! These were ordered in August and after many delays in manufacturing and shipping, they finally made their way to us. I appreciate all current families and alumni who contributed to our computer fund as we work towards the goal of one-to-one devices for every student. Without those donations this would not have been possible.

              The dismissal routine seems to be running smoothly with the added traffic. I appreciate all those who are following the loop in the church parking lot. Please continue with your signs – hanging them out the window helps, especially in the winter. At times, another teacher might have to take my place who will not necessarily recognize you or your car.

Catholic Schools Week begins on Sunday, January 31. It would be nice if any families who attend masses on that Sunday have their children dress in the school uniform.  In addition, please consider attending PTO meetings and volunteering to help on committees. Remember, any parent attending a meeting earns a dress down day for their child(ren) the day following the meeting!
