CHRONICLE
January 28, 2021
Mission: Communion of Saints Catholic School serves a diverse community and fosters life-long learners and witnesses to the Gospel who are committed to worshiping God and serving His people.
PRINCIPAL CORNER
Dear Parents,
There are many exciting activities coming up. First off, the students participating in Power of the Pen will be competing virtually this Saturday. They are Gabe Ewen, Brady Foss, Victor Gideon, Jane Kennedy, Reiland Kostos, Geogia Kuras, Meredith Mawby, and Eva Panza. A big Thank You to Mr. & Mrs. Panza and Mrs. Sluzewski for giving of their time to work with the students and enter this competition. Good luck everyone! We are proud of you!
The next event is Catholic Schools Week which begins on Sunday, January 31. It would be nice if any families who attend masses on Sunday have their children dress in the school uniform. On Monday the students will be celebrating ‘Community’. The students will create thank-you cards to the library, police, and fire departments for all they do for the community. In addition, Monday will kick off the weeklong STEM activities in which students will work together in (very) small groups to begin the process of reconnecting with peers. Covid has forced so much distancing and isolation, the activities are designed to bring students back together. Be sure to check the calendar for scheduled dress down themed days for the week.
Many thanks go to the PTO for providing funding for various Catholic Schools Week activities and for organizing parent volunteers to cover recess duties on Friday for Teacher Appreciation Day. I know I speak for the entire faculty and staff when I express gratitude for all you do to support the school. The Communion of Saints community is the best!
Let us continue to pray for those affected by the pandemic and for front line workers who make sacrifices daily for the sake of others.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Whiteley
