NEW ENTRANCE-During School Hours-Stillman Road Doors: Beginning December 3rd

8:00am-3:00pm

*This does not affect morning car drop off or afternoon car pick up*

We wanted to inform you of a new security measure to ensure the safety of our school community. Begining Dec. 3, during school hours, all parents, guardians, and visitors will be required to enter the school using the Stillman Road entrance. We have newly installed security doors to create a vestibule at this entrance. Please park on Stillman to avoid having to walk around the building.

This new vestibule will be used for:

Dropping off items
Bringing in students who arrive late
Early pickups
and more.

If you need to access the school during school hours, please use the Stillman Rd. doors

Press the intercom button at the security door.
Wait for a staff member to respond and confirm the purpose of your visit.
Once cleared, you’ll be granted access to the vestibule where you can leave items for a student or wait for students for pick up/drop off.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we implement these enhanced security measures.

Welcome back from a hopefully wonderful Thanksgiving Break! December is coming in with a bang and some snow! It’s hard to believe that Christmas is less than 3 weeks away. There is lots of activity here at school. Please be sure to refer to the calendars, chronicles and Thursday folders to keep up with all the happenings. We hope you will join us in support of our student participants in both the band and nativity programs.

COLDER MONTHS Dress- Please be sure your student is dressed appropriately! Students will go outside for recess unless the temperature is below 20 degrees. If your student is wearing boots to school, please make sure they pack a change of shoes! Sweatshirts, quarter-zips, and sweaters must have the school logo. Please reference the school handbook for acceptable winter attire.

SCHOOL CLOSINGS- INCLEMENT WEATHER-

Winter is here! In case of a weather emergency, the official announcement for school closing will be sent via email and text message through Digital Academy and heard over local television stations Channels 3, 5, 8. It is imperative that we have your correct contact information. Please contact the school office with any changes asap.

If Cleveland Heights-University Heights Schools close, Communion of Saints School is also closed.

We are still collecting clean plastic gallon milk jugs for a Catholic Schools Week activity! Should you have any to donate, please send them with your student. We appreciate your help in creating an exciting learning opportunity for our students!

Angel Scholarship Fund

Remember- all Ohio taxpayers may receive a 100% tax credit against their Ohio Income tax liability for donations to our organization through this fund.

Each of our families can apply for tuition assistance in the form of a scholarship from the Angel Scholarship fund.
