PRINCIPAL CORNER
January 18
Happy end of Quarter 2! It is hard to believe we are at our halfway point of the school year; time is flying!
January is marked by our Catholic Schools Week celebrations, beginning with Open House on Sunday, January 28th. I encourage you to reference the flyers below for more specifics regarding the daily activities (including many exciting evening events!) and spirit days! Catholic Schools Week is a great reminder of why we choose to send our students to a Catholic school and why Communion of Saints is such a special school community!
There have been some questions regarding the gym uniform for the school year. Gym uniforms include a t-shirt and shorts/sweatpants with the COS logo. Spiritwear or clothing items without the crest are not acceptable attire. Should you need to order gym uniforms for your student, please contact RDP Sports; the link is provided below. Students need to have proper gym uniform attire by Friday, March 1st at the very latest. Uniform violations will be distributed by teachers after that time for non-uniform articles of clothing. Please let me know if you are having any challenges with school/gym uniforms; I am happy to help!
We had many exciting opportunities this week:
- I attended a monthly principal meeting to discuss building culture with other Diocesan administrators!
-
Quarter 2 ended today! Report cards will be sent electronically on Thursday, 1/25 via Digital Academy. If you have difficulty logging into Digital Academy please contact Mrs. Borally in the school office.
Next week, we can look forward to:
-
An early dismissal day on Wednesday, 1/24! This is a dress-down day in COS spiritwear!
- The Catholic Schools Week teacher committee will meet to finalize our exciting schedule!
-
Setup for our PaperPie book fair will begin! The Book Fair will open on Friday, 1/26; students are encouraged to bring money to shop on Friday during their library time!
I look forward to a great kickoff to the second half of our school year!
