We have almost made it to Thanksgiving break! I look forward to hearing about everyone’s holiday celebrations soon!
To make the holiday season bright for those less fortunate, our NJHS students are collecting canned goods for our annual food drive. Food will be collected until December 1st. Please reference the flyer below to know what items will be accepted. Our school goal is to collect 500 cans this year; please help out if you are able!
As we move into the colder months ahead, please be sure your student is dressed appropriately! Students will go outside for recess unless the temperature is below 20 degrees. If your student is wearing boots to school, please make sure they pack a change of shoes!
Our Discover Catholic Schools Week Open House and Information Session were a success! A huge thank-you to Mrs. O’Hare for organizing this event and to all parent and student volunteers who contributed their time and talents to help our school shine! I am hopeful for an exciting admissions season ahead!
Our We Give Catholic campaign kicks off this Sunday, November 19th, and will conclude on Tuesday, November 28th. Please consider making a donation to support the renovation of our main office and faculty room spaces! Your support is much appreciated!
We had many exciting opportunities this week:
- Student Ambassadors met to begin planning our We Give Catholic Mass!
- The faculty gathered to examine our Fall MAP testing data and goal-set for our Winter testing session!
- I attended the Diocese Principal Conference to learn more about my role as an instructional coach and building leader!
Next week, we can look forward to:
- The Great Lakes Shake competition at Lakewood Catholic Academy! Good luck to Clementine Hubbard and Sylvie Hattier who will be the very first COS students to be a part of this etiquette and public speaking contest!
The start of our Thanksgiving Break on Wednesday, November 22nd! Classes will resume on Monday, November 27th!
Have a wonderful rest of your week and weekend!
