NEW ENTRANCE-During School Hours-Stillman Road Doors: Beginning December 3rd

8:00am-3:00pm

*This does not affect morning car drop off or afternoon car pick up*

We wanted to inform you of a new security measure to ensure the safety of our school community. Begining Dec. 3, during school hours, all parents, guardians, and visitors will be required to enter the school using the Stillman Road entrance. We have newly installed security doors to create a vestibule at this entrance. This new vestibule will be used for:

  • Dropping off items
  • Bringing in students who arrive late
  • Early pickups
  • and more.

If you need to access the school during school hours, please use the Stillman Rd. doors

  1. Press the intercom button at the security door.
  2. Wait for a staff member to respond and confirm the purpose of your visit.
  3. Once cleared, you’ll be granted access to the vestibule where you can leave items for a student or wait for students for pick up/drop off.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we implement these enhanced security measures.

PRINCIPAL CORNER

November 7, 2024

As we enter November, I want to take a moment to reflect on the tremendous support and care you all continue to show to each other.  Thank you to Ms. Nic, Mrs. Yakawiak, Mrs. Wiggins, and all the staff  who have been invaluable in taking on additional responsibilities to ensure things run smoothly while I am on leave.  I am looking forward to returning to my COS family.

Holiday seasons are exceptionally busy at school so please be sure to check your student’s Thursday folder- Read the Chronicle and check your texts and emails.  We don’t want students to miss anything but as in life- lots of our activities do have deadlines.

Veteran’s Day: Mon. 11/11:  As we approach Veterans Day, we want to take a moment to honor the courage, dedication, and sacrifices made by our veterans and their families. This day reminds us of the bravery of those who have served to protect the freedoms and values we hold dear. To all the veterans in our community and beyond, we extend our heartfelt thanks. Your service has made a difference, and we are forever grateful.

COS Night with the CAVS!  If you have not already done so, today is a great day to purchase tickets and join us at the CAVS game on Friday, Nov. 15.  Scan the QR code below to see more information and to order tickets.

Jr. High Uniforms:- Reminder:  The dress uniform policy began on November 1st.  Please review the guidelines below:

  • 6th-8th Grade Girls: Your formal uniform (worn in the months of October-March) will now require a quarter-zip fleece, sweater, sweater vest, or cardigan to be worn over a polo. Both the polo and top layer must have the COS logo with the polo tucked in. A reminder that skirts need to be no shorter than one inch above the knee; this requirement will be enforced by all teachers.
  • 6th-8th Grade Boys: Your formal uniform (worn in the months of November-March) will now require a solid-white short- or long-sleeve button down shirt with a solid-colored tie of choice. This shirt is to be worn with khaki or navy blue pants and is to be tucked in with a belt.

We are still collecting clean plastic gallon milk jugs for a Catholic Schools Week activity! Should you have any to donate, please send them with your student. We appreciate your help in creating an exciting learning opportunity for our students!
