Congregational Planning Meeting
February 9th
9:00 a.m. - Noon

Ben Franklin is quoted as saying, "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail." It is time to have a planning meeting at Christ Our Savior. There are offices listed in the church constitution that are not being filled. Either the office needs to be filled, the constitution rewritten, or a combination of both. There are people filling positions as board chairmen without a functioning board. How do we become better organized and more efficient?

Now is the time to plan for annual events. These include Lenten dinners, Easter Breakfast, VBS, Labor Day parade, etc., It would be wise and prudent to plan for these events and recruit leaders that will organize these efforts. There are things we can do that we do not currently do. Are the members of this congregation using their gifts to serve the Lord in the most effective way?

Below is a list of offices that according to our constitution should be filled. I will be talking to you about filling these positions. What office would you be willing fill? I Would you be willing to serve on a constitution committee?

There is also a list of annual events. This is certainly not an exhaustive list. What needs to be added? Are there activities on this list that need to be reviewed or omitted? Are you interested in organizing and planning for one of these events? Without your participation these events will not happen. You are valuable in this congregations' ministries. There are tremendous opportunities to use your gifts to glorify God and impact our community for Christ.

Openings needing filled:

Board of Finance

Board of Worship

Board of Christian Care
