The New Jersey State Cancer Registry (NJSCR), which helps researchers better describe cancer patterns, discover cancer causes and ultimately leads to better outcomes for patients, received a seven-year, $9,085,109 contract from the National Cancer Institute to support core infrastructure and research activities. Under the direction of the State Department of Health in partnership with Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, NJSCR is one of 18 population-based registries in the nation that are part of the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) Program.
