Payroll Protection Program

Last night, the Department of Treasury (Treasury) and Small Business Administration (SBA) released an interim final rule on the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) . Agricultural producers are eligible to participate in the program and should contact their agricultural lenders to apply immediately.

While SBA still needs to confirm some administrative details, loans will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis and producers can get started on the application now.

Coronavirus/COVID-19 Agricultural Worksite Checklist

The Western Center for Agricultural Health and Safety at UC Davis developed an excellent checklist of steps that can be taken to protect ag workers and prevent the spread of COVID-19 at work. A copy of the checklist, in Spanish and English, can be found below.

Please be sure to also check if your county has social distancing protocols in place for essential workers in the workplace. In the last three days, several counties have adopted these protocols and made forms available on their websites. A list of county orders is available on CAWG’s COVID-19 webpage .
