COVID-19: Summer Convention Update from CAAA President Joseph Capurro
To our valued members,

As we continue to assess the situation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and navigate shelter-in-place orders around the state, we are hoping to continue to provide you with the best workers’ compensation educational opportunities to help you maximize benefits for your clients while keeping them safe and protected.

In order to safeguard the health of our community, our Education and Tech-Ed Committees, working together with our staff, are currently exploring options to move forward with our 2020 Summer Convention in a virtual manner, providing live panels that you can experience remotely from the safety and comfort of your own home.

Our Education Committee has worked hard to line up expert panelists to expound on the latest regulations and case law affecting your practices, and we’re working with the speakers to digitize all of the materials for easy access while maintaining the quality you’ve come to expect.

For our Associate members, we are also brainstorming ideas to provide you with opportunities to market your products and services as you would at our exhibit expo, albeit in a different manner more suitable for our current environment. More details to come.

While we have not yet made the decision to cancel our in-person location, we’re moving quickly to adapt and transition to a digital conference and hope you will join us to continue the important work of protecting injured workers. We will announce a registration date and provide more information as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience as we work through these unprecedented times and for continuing to be a valued member of our CAAA community. We look forward to providing you with another premier educational experience in June.

Sincerely,

Joseph Capurro
CAAA President
