Survey: PPE Needs for Essential Businesses Operating in Champaign County
In a collaborative effort with local agencies to maintain safety for our essential businesses and their employees, we're conducting a survey for needs of PPE, including masks, gloves, hand sanitizer and more. If you are deemed an essential business, please complete our survey so we can determine how best to fulfill these needs.
DISCLAIMER: This survey does not guarantee that you will receive the PPE requested. At this time, we are trying to determine the need so we can connect with area resources on available supplies.
Are you an essential business?
If so, it is critical that you take the appropriate measures to ensure the safety of your employees and customers by following guidance and social distancing recommendations by local, state and federal agencies.

Some measures include, but are not limited to:

  • encourage workers to stay home if sick and/or send sick employees home,
  • assessing the health of workers upon arrival and during work, including fever, cough, shortness of breath,
  • providing extra opportunity for hand-washing or sanitizing, requiring use of PPE where necessary (cloth face masks and gloves),
  • maintaining separation (social distancing) from other workers,
  • promote the use of cashless purchases,
  • limit sharing of tools and equipment,
  • regularly clean and disinfect surfaces, equipment, and other elements of the work environment,
  • post signs informing customers of the steps your store is taking to prevent COVID-19,
  • employees who interact with the public should have a barrier between them and customers,
  • and encouraging measures to be taken by workers as they leave the workplace for the day and return to their homes, such as taking off shoes and changing clothes immediately.
