This message comes to you in the midst of a difficult time for our community, nation and world. To aid in the global response to COVID-19, KICA is modifying some of its operations. At this time, Kiawah Island remains open to all commercial traffic, with no restrictions.
KICA Livability
This staff will alternate days into the office, beginning tomorrow. You may continue to handle permit applications and/or requests for inspections through the portal page. If you need personal assistance, please contact Ed Monahan, Director of Livability, at 843-708-3611 (cell).
KICA Commercial Pass Office
The commercial pass office will continue to operate under normal operating hours (Monday- Friday, 7 a.m.- 3:30 p.m.), though with reduced staff. Commercial work hours are continuing as usual with work allowed Monday - Friday from 7 a.m. - 7 p.m., Saturdays 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., and no commercial work on Sundays. In order to limit interactions, all commercial decals, with an expiration of March 31, are
automatically extended until April 30

KICA Security
KICA Security and the gates remain at full operations. If you need assistance from security, the main gate may be reached at 843-768-5566.
Initially, we plan these operations to continue through March 31. However, as we have learned in the past week, things are changing quickly in our community. We are committed to keeping you updated, as things change on Kiawah Island, which may impact you.
