TRAVEL QUARANTINE FOR PATIENTS & HEALTHCARE WORKERS – 7/16/20
Please see below response direct from the Department as regards the state travel quarantine.

A:  Patients coming from any of the states on the list need to quarantine. Healthcare workers are exempt from the requirement but facilities need to be through on the infection control and risk assessment of their employees. thanks

The borrowing initiative will affect us, and the comments on travel, PPE and hospital metrics certainly speak volumes about where the state is and is going. 


THIS TEST IS ACCEPTABLE FOR USE FOR PRE-OP TESTING – 7/16/20
Q: Is this test allowed?
I’d specifically be interested in whether the ID NOW nucleic acid test is OK. It’s a rapid test being done in more and more urgent cares. Opening up to this test would allow us to prevent case cancellations.

From Dr. Kirn:
A: Yes, this test is a molecular point of care test that meets the criteria of the EO as it is currently written.
