COVID-19: PRESUMPTION IS NOW OPERATIVE
On June 5, 2020, Governor Pritzker signed HB 2455/PA 101-633 into law, adding a new subsection to the Workers’ Occupational Diseases Act (820 ILCS 310/1). Thus workers diagnosed with COVID-19 between 3/9/2020 and 12/31/2020 may argue it is automatically connected to their jobs. Employers can combat such claims as detailed in the pages below.
