Due to Social Distancing recommendations, CARE Housing has decided to close the community gardens and postpone the arrival of our yearly roll off dumpsters. Both of these services will resume once Stay at Home and Social Distancing orders have been lifted.
Our community is coming together to provide much needed resources to help reduce economic hardship related to the COVID-19 pandemic. CARE Housing is here to help you navigate these resources. CDC Information on Cloth Coverings
The CDC recommends the use of cloth face coverings to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Check out the links below for information on how to property wear a face covering and how to make your own!
The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s (CDPHE) website has the most up-to-date information on COVID-19 and additional resources.
Colorado Center on Law and Policy posted a blog listing a variety of resources and information for Coloradans.
United Way has also updated their website to provide resources and information.
The Social Security office is closed but they do have online services available.
The City of Fort Collins Adopt a Neighbor program is pairing volunteers with people who need assistance with daily tasks such as running errands or delivering groceries. Those interested in receiving help must fill out the form on theirwebsite.
The income tax deadline has been extended to July 15th.
Colorado Child Care Collaborative - Essential personnel are being matched with a provider closest to them. The first two weeks of care is being paid for by the philanthropic community. Care is for children ages 0-13.
Boys and Girls Club is opening their site for emergency child care of essential personnel in Fort Collins on March 30, 2020. Families must register using this link.Care is for children ages 5-13.

Base Camp has an online portal that connects their staff to families in need of child care. Follow this link to sign up.This resource is not limited to essential personnel.
Local utility companies will not be disconnecting services for a specified amount of time if households are unable to pay their bills due to COVID-19. Follow the link for details.
Xcel EnergyandFCGov Utilitieswill not be disconnecting services for non-payment until further notice. Contact them to make them aware of your situation and arrange assistance or payment plans.
Comcast is offering 60 days of free internet for new Internet Essentials Customers. They will not be disconnecting customers' internet service or assess late fees during this period but they require that customers contact them and make them aware of the situation. Comcast is also pausing data plans for 60 days and giving all customers unlimited data at no additional charge.
