COVID-19 is everywhere. That is the message from Erie County officials. Just a week into our community's work slowdown/shutdown, health experts are telling us we have not seen the peak of this deadly virus. With the threat still great, the Chamber is continuing to offer resources for members to help them navigate these unprecedented times. Below you will find information from the Governor's office regarding a shortage of personal protective equipment. The state is looking for businesses that may be able to help produce these products.

NEW YORK STATE IS IN NEED OF GLOVES, MASKS AND GOWNS
There is shortage of personal protective equipment — or PPE — products in the state, including gloves, masks and gowns. The Governor is asking all PPE product providers to sell to the state any products that are not essential or not currently being used.

The Governor is encouraging any company with the proper equipment or personnel to begin to manufacture personal protective equipment products.
The state is willing to provide funding to any company to obtain the proper equipment and personnel.
