Week #9: It's Reopening Day!

After a last minute push for contact tracers and a drop in COVID-19 hospitalizations, WNY cleared the final hurdles to rollout Phase 1 today which includes construction, manufacturing and limited retail.

Local officials will be monitoring the COVID-19 infection rates over the next two weeks and barring any spikes, the region can move on to Phase 2.

You can find a daily update of metrics met here, which businesses can reopen by phase here and view Governor Cuomo's NY Forward plan here .

The Chamber has been busy, especially this past week, preparing our business community for the reopening. We understand there are many questions as we rollout the local economy and our programming has been focused on getting you answers. We have engaged more than 400 businesses with events such as the Q & A videoconference with Lt. Governor Kathy Hochul.
