NEWS
- NEW - Eased State Restrictions Do Not Affect Santa Clara County: On Monday, May 25, the California Department of Public Health announced eased restrictions on places of worship for religious services and in-store retail shopping. Today, the Governor announced that hair salons and barbershops may reopen in certain approved counties. These changes do not currently affect business locations in Santa Clara County, which began permitting curbside pickup for certain retail businesses and eased restrictions on additional outdoor activities, such as car parades, beginning last Friday, May 22. The new State rules allow in-store retail shopping, with modifications to enhance safety, as well as in-person religious services up to 25% of a facility’s capacity or 100 people, whichever is lower.
- NEW - DMV Extends Expiring Licenses: The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is offering additional extensions to noncommercial driver licenses and permits so Californians can delay or avoid a DMV office visit during the COVID-19 pandemic. Licenses for drivers 70 and older that expire in June or July are extended 120 days. Expiring licenses for drivers 69 and younger are now valid through July. Driver license permits that expire in July or August are extended six months or to a date 24 months from the date of application, whichever is earlier. All commercial licenses, endorsements and learner’s permits that expire between March and June will remain valid through June 30, 2020, to align with federal guidance. Extensions will be provided to eligible drivers automatically.

How to Express Care with a focus on Racial Equity
Thursday, May 28, 2020 from 12:00 - 1:30 p.m.
This session is informed by common assumptions that racially minoritized students are deficient.
