Nevada INBRE Scientific Core Service Awards

Request for Proposals: Nevada INBRE Scientific Core Service Awards Deadline: Monday 11:59 PM April 27, 2020.

The Nevada INBRE is seeking applicants for Scientific Core Service Awards to foster your research, publications, and grants. Applicants may request services from one or multiple cores. No award will be issued for more than $5,000. There is a maximum of $2,000 in services from the Proteomics and/or Genomics Cores. Any researcher at Nevada INBRE Partner Institutions (CSN, GBC, NSC, SNC, TMCC, UNLV, UNR, WNC) needing scientific core services or support are eligible.

Undergraduate Scholarship Opportunity

Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP) Academic Year 2020-2021 Scholarships Application Deadline: Monday, April 27, 2020, 5:00 pm PT

The Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) is now accepting applications for the Academic Year 2020-2021 Undergraduate Research Opportunity (UROP) scholarship program to promote undergraduate research in all NSHE institutions. Focus:  The UROP program promotes intensive undergraduate research opportunities for university students. Through these research experiences, our goal is to enhance the recruitment and retention of undergraduates in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) disciplines, particularly those related to solar energy and its effects on water resources and the environment in general. Scholarship Amount:  $4,000 for students Research Period:  September 1, 2020 through May 31, 2021
