Like you, we're concerned about our community's welfare - and we're heartened by your generous help during the COVID-19 crisis. We are proud yet humbled that we can deliver wholesome food and supplies to our neighbors in need on your behalf. Most importantly, we have a proactive approach to support the community during this pandemic, thanks to you. That's because you are protecting our vibrant community with your gifts to the Jewish Hartford Rapid Relief and Recovery Fund.

In just the past two weeks, the Fund has provided our partner, Jewish Family Services, with funds to purchase 275 bags full of fresh fruits and vegetables, kosher foods, dairy products, and paper goods to people severely impacted by COVID-19.

"I just lost my sister to COVID-19. I can't even think about cooking right now. When this delivery arrived at my door... I felt so blessed." - A thankful recipient

This week, JFS will continue filling grocery bags to the brim with healthy food for families and individuals in 14 towns in Greater Hartford, bringing nourishment and much-needed emotional relief.

JFS will also distribute 70 Dignity Packs - 50 with hygiene products and 20 with menstrual products - to households across the region. Dignity Packs are a product of Dignity GrowsTM, a program of the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford, supported by Federation's Women of Impact.

Meanwhile, the Fund's Grantmaking Committee is finalizing the process and guidelines by which local agencies and synagogues can apply for grants to address the effects of COVID-19 on their operations.

We encourage you to extend your support as we continue responding to and preparing for the unprecedented impacts of COVID-19.
