Nearly 63,000 new unemployment claims have been filed in the towns we serve since March 22, just two days after the statewide stay-at-home order - and that doesn't include gig workers and self-employed people who normally don't qualify for unemployment benefits. We anticipate that this harsh reality will impact our Jewish community for many months to come.

For people struggling to make ends meet due to COVID-19, the Jewish Hartford Rapid Relief and Recovery Fund delivers hope and emergency financial help. After helping community members, our staff and volunteers at Federation and Foundation can hear the relief in their voices:

"I received your generous direct deposit today. I am so very grateful. This will truly help me make ends meet."  - A thankful recipient

As the economic crisis unfolds, we hope that you'll consider a gift to the Fund in addition to the generous support you already provide to so many of our local Jewish organizations. Your donation will help individuals and families who are struggling to make ends meet and provide emergency operating support for local Jewish institutions impacted by COVID-19.
