COVID-19 and Fires Local Update

Happy National Eat Outside Day
Photo credit: Del Monte Center @delmontecenter
It’s #NationalEatOutsideDay! Our local restaurants have done an excellent job at moving their operations outdoors during the pandemic. Please be sure to support local businesses if you can! You’ll also be supporting local jobs and keeping tax dollars in the community to help pay for city services like public safety, infrastructure improvements, parks maintenance and other vital services. You can order take out or delivery and enjoy your meal outside now that the air quality has improved.

The Storm Drain Avengers
THANK YOU @MontereySEAorg & @SaveTheWhalesCA! Their "Storm Drain Avengers" installed emblems above storm drains to remind everyone that what goes into storm drains can end up in rivers, creeks, and the ocean - the only thing that belongs in a storm drain is RAIN: http://montereystormwatereducationalliance.org
