Coastal Cleanup 4 Saturdays During the Month of September:
Protect Your Happy Place
The Annual Coastal Cleanup will look a bit different this year. To prevent the spread of COVID-19, Save Our Shores will not be hosting cleanups at organized sites on one particular day. Instead, you can conduct your own local cleanup with those you have been sheltering in place with on any Saturday during the month of September. These individual, close-to-home cleanups will help to protect our oceans beginning at our own front doors. Visit https://saveourshores.org/coastal-cleanup-2020/ for details.

Lower Presidio Historic Park an Alternative Outdoor Option
What's a good alternative to visiting beaches this weekend? The Lower Presidio Historic Park. The Old Monterey Foundation has made some wonderful improvements to the park, with signage, walking paths, and more. The view is one of the best on the peninsula. It's a great place for a family hike. Also learn why the Lower Presidio Historic Park is considered by many professional historians as “The Most Historically Significant Site on the West Coast” - visit their website for more information:
