COVID-19 Local Update
September 15, 2020
Smoky Skies Blanket the Monterey Peninsula on Tuesday
Visibility has improved today, but air quality remains unhealthy due to wildfires across the western United States. The National Weather Service predicts improved conditions through Friday. The reprieve may be short-lived, however, as the winds could kick up the August Complex and North Complex fires burning in Northern California, and a high pressure system could bring more smoke over the weekend. Limit outdoor activity and check airnow.gov and mbard.org for air quality updates.
