COVID-19 Local Update - in Brief
May 22, 2020
Memorial Day Weekend: Celebrate, Honor, Remember - PHOTO by Steven L. Shepard, Presidio of Monterey Public Affairs. The Monterey County Convention and Visitors Bureau put together a comprehensive list of activities available over the Memorial Day weekend - and allowed under the COVID-19 Shelter in Place Order. We are currently in Stage 2 of the Order. Social distancing and wearing face coverings will help us continue to flatten the curve. Check out seemonterey.com/resources/covid19-updates for lists of restaurants open for to-go orders, parks and beaches open (with social distancing restrictions), and outdoor activities available. Check it out for fun ideas and have a nice, safe, Memorial Day weekend!
Countdown to June 3 - Monterey's 250th Birthday! Story Tellers! The second story is now published at www.monterey.org/250years/Events - " Hellam's", by Robert Finley.

Parking Division Courtesy Notices
The Parking Division is slowly resuming operations that it halted for several weeks due to the COVID-19 Shelter in Place Order. Parking enforcement will begin June 1. Courtesy notices are being distributed so the community knows in advance. In addition, we are encouraging people who use the lots and garages to download the ParkMobile app for a quick and convenient payment method that makes it easy to maintain physical distancing.
Visit them online at monterey.org/parking for more information.
This is not over yet.
