COVID-19 Local Update - in Brief

Masks Up - We are starting to see an easing of the Shelter in Place Order restrictions. This will allow businesses to reopen and our economy to begin to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. As we continue through this process, we all need to use masks to protect ourselves and others. The virus is still in control but we have the ability to defeat it, and we will. Giving Back to the Community - Monterey, California: Educating Hospitality for the Return of Travel - It's easy to think that the Monterey Conference Center is just for people traveling from out of the area for conferences. But the Monterey Conference Center supports many local events that support our community, including our youth of all ages. The Monterey Conference Center also supports our economy and in turn broad City services and programs, providing our rich quality of life. Now, during the pandemic, the Monterey Conference Center is stepping up to provide an important venue for educating hospitality workers so they can come back to work safely. READ THE ARTICLE
