The pandemic is still wreaking havoc to our economy and people's lives. We wanted to share another way that residents may be able to ease household budget concerns - with PG&E's CARE Program:
PG&E's CARE Program Helping Customers Who Have Been Financially Impacted by COVID-19 - The Pacific Gas and Electric Company's (PG&E) California Alternate Rates for Energy (CARE) Program has been in place since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March and served tens of thousands of customers so far. The CARE program provides income-qualified households with discounts on their energy bills. Qualified customers can apply for CARE online. The process is easy and only takes about five minutes. Eligible customers will begin receiving the CARE program discount during their next billing cycle, and those who recently applied for unemployment benefits are likely now eligible.
