FROM THE CITY OF MONTEREY
COVID-19 Local Update
July 6, 2020
Though it was a holiday weekend, we are happy to report that our beaches and business districts were not overcrowded and most residents and visitors wore masks. We had almost 100% compliance for following the beach closures and the new emergency face covering order. THANK YOU! Limiting trips, social distancing and face coverings will help slow the spread of the coronavirus in our community. We can only do it with your help. We appreciate your thoughtfulness and care.
Need some #MondayMotivation to start the week off right? Monterey Sports Center has restarted group exercise classes! Reservations are required a minimum of 24 hours in advance. Classes this week include yoga, cycling, kettlebell, zumba and much more. Reservation instructions and schedule can be found at monterey.org/sportscenter. It's more important than ever to stay healthy, so join your neighbors for some fun outdoor workouts!

Please remember that face coverings are required at the Monterey Sports Center, and don't forget your water bottle, towel and mat, too!
