We will be adding a direct link to all resources on the homepage of our website in the coming days. All of the information we have been sharing will be available in one location.

Major Sam Cochran, the founder of Crisis Intervention Training (CIT), delivers a powerful message on the maintenance of mental health services and supports during the pandemic. The article is attached.
City governments and transit agencies are on the front lines of responding to the COVID-19 pandemic and are rapidly developing policies and projects for this emergency. The National Association of City Transportation Officials has developed a COVID-19 Transportation Response Center , which includes every municipality's policies.

TIPS for First Responders , created at the University of New Mexico, also offered through Texas A&M, has been replicated through the Missouri Council on Developmental Disabilities. The is specific to Missouri, but the descriptors are generic and useful for anyone in the field.

Missouri Council on Developmental Disabilities (MO CDD) has also created the Shelter from the Storm-Supported Decision-Making and Emergency Planning for Individuals with Intellectual and other Developmental Disabilities.
NU FRDAT is in Year Four of our First Responders Disability Awareness Training grant from MO CDD.

FEMA Office of Disability Integration and Coordination has directed its regions to seek out information specific to barriers, challenges, and need areas that the pandemic has exposed for people with disabilities and access and functional needs. Food assistance reflected in the (in)ability to obtain, traditional shelter in place guidance (3-7 days), personal care aides and direct support professionals role being recognized as well as the need for PPE, and certain individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities ability to understand and cope are some of the areas that have been identified. The on-going issues of transportation, network of supports, and the lack of ASL interpreters, among others, continue to be present. We will be submitting areas of need and welcome your input.
