COVID-19 New/Updated Resources-4/30/2020

We mentioned in prior newsletters that our content is both national and specific to New York. Our office developed the emergency management disability awareness training for the state of New York through a grant from the Developmental Disabilities Planning Council. We maintain our role as an on-going resource. For more information contact our office. We also work with New York, Missouri, South Dakota and Virginia (LE) providing the Fire Fighter, EMS, 9-1-1, and Law Enforcement training. Our updated briefs are attached.

NFB-NEWSLINE® for People who are blind, have low vision, or have difficulty reading
The N ational Federation of the Blind sponsors a service called Newsline. Newsline is run by the NFB, but is available to anyone who is print disabled. There is now a section on Newsline that covers the latest information on COVID19. This is updated daily. Newsline is funded differently in each state. In New York State, it is funded by a grant from the New York State Commission for the Blind. It is free to the user.
