Check the City's website for Mayor Pandaleon's Community Video Message, additional information and continue to send any inquiries to cityhall@cityoflakeforest.com . As the Mayor stressed yesterday in his video, please stay home unless it is absolutely necessary to leave the house.

Aid for Small Businesses and Non-Profits
Governor J.B. Pritzker announced a series of new aid packages that will be available to small business and local non-profits. The Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity and Illinois' official Corona Virus website are hosting the applications under the non-profit lender Accion . Additionally, private and individual contributions have been raised through the Illinois COVID-19 Response Fund, a collaboration between the Governor's office, United Way of Illinois, and the Alliance of Illinois Community Foundations, to support non-profit organizations across the State of Illinois. Good Information to Know
  • FEMA/IEMA reimbursement guidelines are being reviewed and the City is tracking all COVID-19 related expenses for potential reimbursement.
  • The State of Illinois has extended the 2019 tax filing to July 15 to mirror the Federal filing deadline.
  • The City is delaying the community mailing for vehicle stickers, animal licenses and annual parking permits and the revised deadline for purchases will be extended.
  • The City has also suspended all penalty and shut off notices for utility bill payments.
  • The Compost Center is closed until further notice. Please call 847.810.3543 for special curbside pick-ups.
  • All home refuse/recycling/yard waste collections are continuing. Please note that collections need to be ready by 7 a.m. but may not be picked up exactly at 7 a.m. depending on the route.

Lake County Health Department
The Lake County Health Department released an interactive map which shares the number of residents who have tested positive for COVID-19 in each municipality. According to the LCHD website, it is best viewed on a computer. As of March 26, 30-34 cases have been identified in Lake Forest. You can view the map here .
