"Lake Forest Hospital has planned for and is responding to the anticipated surge in COVID-19 related hospitalizations. We are in regular communication with our Northwestern Medicine system hospitals, with other Lake County Hospitals, with the Lake County Department of Public Health, state and federal officials, and with colleagues throughout the country to share information and resources. The health and safety of our patients and caregivers is our highest priority and we remain able to operate according to our high standards of care.
The caregivers at Northwestern Memorial Lake Forest Hospital continue to be grateful for your unwavering support during the COVID-19 crisis. Your support has meant the world to them and raised their spirits at a time when they needed it the most. Thank you!
Like many across the country, our patients are enduring long hospital stays in isolation, without the comfort of loved ones at their bedsides. We would like to encourage community members to brighten their days by sending along laminated cards or drawing that express your – or your children’s – well wishes. For infection control,
we can only accept cards and drawings that have been laminated
so they can be wiped down and disinfected before being placed in patient rooms. They can be mailed directly to Lake Forest Hospital, 1000 Westmoreland Road, Lake Forest, IL 60045, Attn: Volunteer Services. In addition, Post Net and Fed Ex in Lake Forest are available to have creations emailed directly to them, and they will laminate and ensure they are delivered to the hospital. Post Net has generously offered to provide this service free to the community. Please contact them directly for details.
Our healthcare workers are grateful for donations of “ear saver” headbands with buttons sewn on, that relieve the pressure of surgical masks with ear loops during extended use. Donations are accepted at the Health and Fitness Center on the Lake Forest Hospital Campus, Monday-Friday between 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
We will continue to update and post information about COVID symptoms, treatment guidelines and resources at
. If you have questions, please call our hotline at 312.47.COVID (312.472.6843). If you are experiencing severe health problems, please proceed to the Emergency Department.
Thank you again for your kind support as we continue to respond to the COVID-19 crisis."
