COVID-19 Non-emergent transportation

Applicable to: Mercy Care Complete Care, Mercy Care RBHA, Mercy Care Long Term Care and Mercy Care DD

Mercy Care has been receiving questions from some of our providers, especially Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) and Assisted Living Facilities (ALF), regarding non-emergency transportation (NEMT) for a member who has been diagnosed with COVID-19. We would like to clarify the process for you.

Mercy Care has NEMT providers who have been approved by AHCCCS to provide transportation for members with a known COVID-19 diagnosis or those who are under investigation for COVID-19. These providers are trained in the use of personal protective equipment and have procedures in place to mitigate risks for members and drivers.
To request transportation for a member with a COVID-19 diagnosis or one who is under investigation for COVID-19, providers should call our Member Services Department and the appropriate level of transportation will be arranged. Do not arrange transportation directly with an NEMT provider. You can reach Member Services for Mercy Care Complete Care at 602-263-3000 and Mercy Care RBHA at 602-586-1841.

As always, don't hesitate to contact your  Mercy Care Network Management Representative  with any questions or comments. You can find this notice and all other provider notices on our  Mercy Care   website.

Thanks for your attention to this important matter. It's important to all of us to keep our information private and safe!
