Dear RSPA Northshore Families:

We are writing to notify you that (1) individual who was last on RSPA's Northshore Campus on Monday, August 23rd, has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. You should also know that (4) additional individuals have been in close contact with a positive case and are currently waiting on results from home. These individuals were last present on campus Tuesday, August 31st, Monday, September 13th, & Wednesday, September 15th.

Your child was not in close contact unless you were individually notified.
This notice is being sent to all Northshore parents and staff members.

Allow us to reassure you that RSPA follows guidance from the Texas Education Agency in the event of positive cases:

Areas heavily used by individuals infected with COVID-19 are sanitized. Individuals with positive COVID-19 test results will remain off campus until the following re-entry criteria have been met...

  • must self-isolate for at least 10 calendar days since symptoms first appeared.
  • must have no sign of fever without fever-reducing medication for at least 24 hours since recovery and symptoms have significantly improved.

RSPA appreciates everyone’s help in providing the best educational environment through these proactive measures:

  • Daily self-screening for symptoms prior to coming onto campus.
  • Emailing covidresponse@rhodesschool.org if you, your scholar, or someone you’ve been in close proximity to tests positive, or experiences symptoms of COVID-19. Please be sure to include your scholar’s name, grade, teacher, and documentation of the positive test result.
  • Practice physical distancing.
  • Practice excellent hand hygiene.
  • Strongly encourage the use of face-coverings.

Thank you to the family for reporting this matter and assisting us with accurate contact tracing reporting.

Best Regards,
RSPA Communications Department
