Reminder: Wear a mask when you are outside of your home or apartment. Only leave for necessary trips for food or medicine. Exercising close to home is recommended.

Saturday, April 25, at 11:00 am, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 7301 Annapolis Road, Landover Hills 
Grocery distribution by Greater Riverdale Cares, Capital Area Food Bank, Brighter Bites, and Coastal Sunbelt Produce.
Every Saturday, at 11:30 am, at Ebenezer Church of God, 7550 Buchanan Street, Landover Hills -- Grocery distribution
Every Monday and Wednesday Youth Breakfast, Snack & Lunch Pick-Up
All youth ages 2-18 may pick up meals at PGCPS Grab and Go meal sites on Monday and Wednesday from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm. No ID is required. If parents pick up meals without a student they will need to show a report card or school ID #.

$15-$25 Every Week for Residents of the Town of Riverdale Park 
All residents of the Town of Riverdale Park who are in need of assistance can receive $15-$25 every week to spend at the Riverdale Park Farmer's Market, every Thursday, from 3pm - 7pm.  Learn more and apply.

The Washington Nationals and Greater Washington Community Foundation have partnered with Get Shift Done to launch in the region. Learn more about how restaurant workers can sign up to be offered sifts paying $14/hour with local nonprofits and how nonprofit organizations can request shift workers funded through private philanthropy.

The food assistance resources listed above and many more are happening thanks to the partnership of numbers organizations. Over the past two weeks, more than 12,000 meals, bags of produce and boxes of groceries have been distributed across District 3.  Our partners in this work include Jose Andres and World Central Kitchen, Sardi's, Capital Area Food Bank, Christian Life Center's Passion & Compassion Ministry, Sowing Empowerment & Economic Development (SEED), Kaiser Permanente, Central Kenilworth Avenue Revitalization (CKAR) CDC, Brighter Bites, Peace City Church, Solid Rock Church, Town of Riverdale Park, Town of Landover Hills, New Carrollton Council Member Phelicia Nembhard, IRC, East Pines Terrace Apartments, Park View Gardens Apartments, St. Mary's Catholic Church of Landover Hills, United Baptist of New Carrollton, Latin American Youth Center (LAYC), numerous civic leaders, and more. #onlytogether

Are you in a position to help others? Here are ways you can help.
Donate to  Greater Riverdale Cares  to support the purchase of meals from locally owned restaurants which will be donated to families in need. Your gift will help the businesses keep employees on staff and feed families.  Learn more and donate here .
Sew masks for our food distribution volunteers and for vulnerable residents. Please reply to this email or send a message to CouncilDistrict3@co.pg.md.us if you have masks to donate.
Contribute Pantry Items to local food banks:

Support the Capital Area Food Bank. CAFB has purchased as much food in the past few weeks as they normally purchase in an entire year. Over the next few months CAFB will provide providing thousands of boxes of food to District 3 residents in need. Please consider supporting that effort.
