Below I have included important updates and resources for residents and businesses during this time as well as a reminder of some items I shared earlier this week. As we all know, information is rapidly evolving.

One of the most important things we can all do now is practice social distancing.
To that end, my staff and I are working from home at this time. We are checking the office voicemail (301-952-3060) hourly to respond promptly.

Updates since my March 10 email newsletter:
- Governor Hogan has
closed all Maryland schools
through March 27.

. Ask your PGCPS student about the access they have to free educational resources via Clever with their school email address and password.
- Prince George's County Public Schools will provide
"grab and go" lunches at regional locations Monday through Friday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. during the statewide school closures (March 16-27).
Students may get a free
sack lunch at one of the following locations:
- Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School, Beltsville
- William Wirt Middle School, Riverdale Park
- Nicholas Orem Middle School, Hyattsville
- Kenmoor Middle School, Landover
- Benjamin Tasker Middle School, Bowie
- Walker Mill Middle School, Capitol Heights
- Drew-Freeman Middle School, Hillcrest Heights
- Thurgood Marshall Middle School, Temple Hills
- Stephen Decatur Middle School, Clinton
- The Chief Administrative Officer for Prince George's County Executive Angela Alsobrooks has implemented numerous social distancing measures for County government. As of Monday, March 16, Prince George's County
government buildings will be closed to the public
, unless expressly authorized by the Chief Administrative Officer. This includes the County Administration Building in Upper Marlboro where the County Council meets. The Council will accept written and emailed testimony. Please read Chair Turner's

- Prince George's County Memorial Library has suspended all programs as of today.
Branches will close on Monday, March 16
. Online resources will still be available via your library card.
- Prince George's County Department of Parks & Recreation will
close all facilities
as of Monday, March 16. Parks, playgrounds and trails will remain open with limited maintenance at this time.
- WSSC Water has
suspended all water shut-offs
to ensure all customers have access to safe, clean water.
- Comcast is offering their
Internet Essentials Program for FREE
for 60 days to low-income households. They are also increasing internet speeds for all program subscribers.

Small Business Administration
and the Prince George's Economic Development Corporation are working on
support for small businesses
affected during this pandemic. If your business has been affected, you can reach out to Senator Cardin's staff:
- The District Court of Prince George's County has
imposed a moratorium on all housing evictions for 15 days beginning today.

It is information sharing between County Government and interested participants who wish to receive critical, real-time information.
