Providers,

We know that you have been asked to make very difficult decisions for your business, and we share your concern for the health and safety of the children in your care. Because of this, we have reached out to the Department of Health for each of our 7 counties for some guidance on what you should do if there is a child in your care that is being tested for COVID-19. You will see the responses we have received below.

  • Bay County - Contact DCF for closure guidance.

  • Franklin County - Report as you normally would i.e. if there are multiple kids out with similar symptoms. If there is a case of COVID-19 in an attendee the department will address it then as part of a contact investigation. Taking actions prior to knowing results of a test aren’t typically recommended.

  • Holmes/Washington County - Contact the Department of Health and speak to the epidemiologist to discuss next steps and receive guidance for interacting with parents.

We will share out more information as it is made available to us from each county's Department of Health. In the meantime, you can follow the CDC's guidance for schools and child care centers by clicking the blue button below. If you have any questions please submit them through the redline or reach out to your local Department of Health directly.
We exist to grow healthy children, parents, and the relationship between them.
