New Castle County launches public COVID-19 testing sites across county
New Castle County Executive Matt Meyer  has announced a series of free COVID-19 testing sites, open to the public, regardless of symptoms, across New Castle County beginning this Monday morning, June 1st, in the Food Lion parking lot on Governor Printz Boulevard in Wilmington. Guests should enter through Paladin Drive. Testing sites will all be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All tests are saliva-based and quick, easy, and painless. Those receiving a test will be asked to rub a cotton swab around their mouths, place the swab in a collection tube, and drop a bag containing the sample in a collection bin on their way out of the testing site. On average, the process takes just a few minutes and results should be returned within 24-48 hours.
