Posters and Testing Instructions Provided by the Department of Health

  • Instructional materials that will help Administrators complete the Laboratory Orders for all of the residents to be tested. This will also help them understand how you will get the residents’ results when ready.

  • Employee instructional materials should be provided to all of employees. Each employee will create an account to create their one-time Laboratory Order. This account will also be where results are reported back. Employees are to provide results of testing to their employer.

CDC Considerations and Guidance for Memory Care

The first step in caring for people living with dementia in any setting is to understand that changes in behavior (e.g., increased agitation, confusion, sudden sadness) or worsening symptoms of dementia should be evaluated because they can be an indication of worsening stress and anxiety as well as COVID-19 or other infections.

The CDC has issued guidance for masks to be worn by residents in memory care communities if tolerated. Please click here for guidance .
