COVID-19 Update

Extension of Social Distancing Requirements
On March 29, the President of the United States extended federal social distancing guidelines until April 30 , with notice that this date could be extended further. Following this update, the District has determined to implement further protective measures. In addition to the continued postponement or cancellation of programs, all park amenities and facilities will be closed until further notice .

What this means for special events:
 
  • The Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon (originally April 22) has been postponed and will be rescheduled.
  • The Community Yard Sale (originally May 2) has been canceled.
  • Spring Cleaning at the Barn has been postponed and will be rescheduled.
  • Meet the Machines (originally May 16) has been canceled.

What this means for parks:
Although CRPD staff installed signage at parks last week, closing playgrounds and park restrooms to promote social distancing, there have been reports of large and small gatherings, including pick-up sports games that do not adhere to county or federal social distancing orders.

To increase the measures that protect our community, the District will implement the following closures on April 2 until further notice:
  • Athletic fields
  • Tennis courts
  • Basketball courts
  • Bocce ball and petanque courts
  • Skateparks
  • Picnic pavilions, tables and BBQs
  • Outdoor fitness equipment
  • Dog parks
  • Amphitheaters
  • Horseshoe pits

We will continue to update notices of postponements and cancellations on our website www.crpd.com , ActiveNet , District social media accounts and direct emails to registered participants. During this period, credits/refunds for classes, programs and events will be available. Staff will be contacting all eligible participants. In order to continue assisting our community with their recreational needs at this time, we have created a virtual recreation center - available now!

The District Administrative office is closed to the public until further notice.

Parks
Parks remain open ; however, ALL PARK AMENITIES will be closed for the safety of the community .

Park amenities include:

  • Athletic fields

  • Basketball courts
  • Bocce ball and petanque courts
  • Skateparks
  • Picnic pavilions, tables and BBQs
  • Outdoor fitness equipment
  • Dog parks

  • Horseshoe pits

Pick-up sports games and practices on grassy areas is NOT permitted because these activities do not comply with social distancing guidelines. When using parks for walking or running, please keep a 6 ft. distance between persons.

In addition, all previously scheduled and planned private events held on District property will need to be rescheduled or canceled. Please email [email protected] to discuss your options. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to assist with hosting your event in the future.

Neil Orchard Senior Activities Center

Remains closed until further notice. All programs have been postponed or canceled.

Meals on Wheels: All meals will be pre-packaged for participants to take “to-go.” Meal pick up times will be from 11:30 a.m. to Noon. Participants in the Meals on Wheels program are encouraged to consume their meals off-site and not gather as a group. Hagan Community Center

This facility is closed to the public until further notice. All organized classes, programs, rental group activities, Discovery Kids Preschool, HYDE Out and events have been canceled or postponed.

Discovery Kids Preschool
  • All Discovery Kids Preschool at the Hagan Community Center and White Rock Clubhouse are canceled until further notice.

HYDE Out Teen Center
  • The HYDE Out is closed until further notice. Information about FCUSD student activities and classes can be found at www.fcusd.org.

Mather Sports Complex

This facility, including fields, is closed to the public until further notice. All organized games, classes, programs, rental group activities, youth and adult sports leagues and events have been canceled or postponed.

Cordova Golf Course
9425 Jackson Road
The course is closed to the public until further notice. All clinics and lessons have been canceled.

Board of Directors Meetings
Future CRPD Board of Directors' meetings will be held via teleconference until further notice. Past meetings can be viewed on CRPD's Board of Directors YouTube page, while upcoming meetings will be audio recorded and available for listening on our website.
We appreciate your patience and encourage you to stay up-to-date with all health officials' recommendations, including the CDC's . The District will update its website as new information becomes available.
