• NEW - Gov. Newsom over the weekend announced he signed executive orders to protect consumers from price gouging, to expand telehealth services to medical providers and to provide expanded access to child care for essential workers. The governor this weekend also announced the launch of a website to help get critical medical supplies to the front lines.
• NEW - Late Friday, the Department of Consumer Affairs waived restrictions on nursing student clinical hours. Additionally, more than 79,000 people have signed up for the California Health Corps. Eligible medical workers will be paid and given malpractice insurance coverage.

• California Community Colleges faculty, staff and administrators can join the CCC | COVID-19 Resources, Tools and Discussion community in the Vision Resource Center to stay informed on developments and ask questions.
• The California Community Colleges Accessibility Center will offer a webinar on Otter.ai, an app that can help students with note taking by recording class lectures and presentations and converting that information into text. The webinar is Thursday, April 9 at 1:00 p.m. Find more information here. To participate in the activities during this webinar, participants can set up a free Otter.ai account beforehand.
